Why might photos be really slow to load?

If photos are really slow to load, check if your router is using IPv6 and if it is, ensure it is NOT using an IPv4 DNS. The DNS should be pointing to the IPv6 equivalent DNS or you may be experiencing DNS timeouts on every network request.
