Worked my way through 10 plus photo screensaver apps. you either can’t set the interval between slides or they crash after a few hours so you have to restart again and again. dfolio worked perfectly and has been running in slideshow mode for days now without intervention. excellent!

Absolutely one of my favorite apps as it works very well and greatly simplifies the ability to play family pictures, kids’ sports videos, etc from your Dropbox right to the TV. Great job!

As a musician / videographer i am constantly bouncing and adjusting files in my drop box. This app has allowed me to stream my files from my tv without having to use the mirror function on my i phone. As a result the video quality is way better and I can bounce lower quality videos as way smaller files. Its sooo handy for a project you are gonna wanna check out on multiple screens or speakers. 🤘

Love this app for Dropbox slideshows. So great for selecting one or more folders with images and displaying a slideshow with many options: random vs sequential order, display captions or not, type of transition between images, how long to display images… just love it.

Love this app. It is brilliant for streaming photos and video onto phone, tablet or smart TV – works from Firestick as well. Has options to customise your slideshow including adding background music from your own MP3 files or music streaming services. Contact with the developer is excellent.

This app is sweet! I have used a traditional photoframe (which pulled in pics from a USB drive) for 15 years before the device finally stopped worked. Now I’m back in business turning an Android tablet into a photoframe with this app. Put all the pics I want to display in one high level Dropbox folder (with hundreds of 2nd & 3rd level subfolders to organize the pics by year and date / event) and I’m in business. The app handles ~40K photos I want to display. Great job!

I’m an artist, and I just started using dropbox as my primary reference folder. Now I can full screen and do timed slides straight from dropbox. It just made the whole reference folio so much better. Love it.

FAQ
dFolio is made for displaying your photos and slideshows. Unlike the official app, it will run on all of your devices including your Google TV, Android TV, or Amazon Fire TV Sticks in order to ensure your photos look their best wherever you want to display them.
When you connect on a TV, the app only requests read access to your Dropbox. Since you can use the app to manage your Dropbox photos on phones and tablets, it will ask you if you want to allow write access or keep the app read only.
The app has intelligent caching and prefetching to download just what it needs when it needs it. It only downloads display sized copies of your photos appropriate for your device, so it avoids downloading more than it needs.
Yes, after logging in set the starting folder you want to use from Dropbox. The app will only display content within that Dropbox folder.
dFolio is compatible with all Google TV, Android TV, and Amazon Fire TV Sticks running Android 6.0 or higher. This is all modern Sony, TCL, Amazon Fire TV Stick and Onn models.
LG or Samsung TVs run their own OS, so you would need to connect a compatible device to it. An Onn or Amazon Fire TV Stick works well for this.
The app will run on all Android phones running Android 6.0 or higher.
